A curated weekly digest of mobile games, shows, books, and apps worth your Saturday afternoon. Published Friday morning. Read in five minutes. Decisions made for you.
A preview of what our weekly issues look like. Real picks begin with our first issue this summer.
Our first weekly issue will feature one standout mobile game per week — selected by our editors after extended hands-on play. Casual, puzzle, strategy, or social — whatever earns the slot.
One series worth watching this weekend. New releases, hidden gems, or returning seasons. Our television editor's curation, not what's trending.
One book worth your weekend reading time. Recent releases, recovered classics, or work in translation. Our literary editor's pick of the week.
One app that's quietly become essential — usually small-studio software, often overlooked by mainstream tech press. Our apps editor's discovery of the week.
A note on how we pick.
Mobile games: minimum four hours played. Books: minimum half the book read. Series: minimum first three episodes watched. Apps: minimum two weeks of daily use.
We accept no payment from publishers, game studios, streaming services, or app developers. We don't run sponsored content. Affiliate links are not part of our model.
One issue per week. Four picks per issue. Published Friday at 7am Paris time. Built for the Friday-afternoon-decision moment when you're deciding what to do with the weekend.

Weekend Picks is an independent editorial weekly launching summer 2026. We publish four curated recommendations every Friday morning — one mobile game, one series, one book, one app — designed to be read in five minutes and to save you the five hours you'd otherwise spend choosing what to do with your weekend.
Editorial scope: we cover the cultural categories that occupy weekend attention — entertainment apps, casual mobile gaming, television, literature, and the small-studio software that quietly becomes essential. We don't try to cover everything. We pick four things per week, and we stand behind each choice.
Editorial standards: every pick is selected by an editor who has personally engaged with the work for a minimum threshold of time. Mobile games: four hours of play. Books: half the book. Series: first three episodes. Apps: two weeks of daily use. No exceptions.
Editorial independence: we accept no payment, sponsorship, advertising, or affiliate commissions from the publishers, studios, streaming services, or developers whose work we cover. Subscriptions and direct reader support are our only revenue model.
Our editorial team: four editors, each responsible for one weekly category. Based across Paris, Madrid, and Berlin. Combined seventeen years in cultural journalism.
